Happy New Year 2022! Learn How to Play Guitar This Winter!

Hiya!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Learn How To Play Guitar This Winter 2022!

This is your invitation to dust of that guitar, electric bass or ukulele and start playing it!

Studies show that playing an instrument in real-life might even impress your Roblox friends! 😉

One on one music lessons with an experienced instructor can speed up your learning by breaking down barriers and adding insight to the seemingly mundane task that is essential to making great music – practicing!

Online videos and/or dvds about playing can be entertaining and educational, but they often lack the context and analysis that will make YOU a better player and broaden YOUR understanding building on YOUR interests and abilities. Give me a call or text or fill out the contact tab at http://www.guitarrw.com for more information or to schedule lessons! Let’s make some great music In 2022!

In-person Guitar Lesson are available on a limited basis at the store and Online Lessons continue via Zoom. Be sure to ask about In-Your-Home Lesson options if interested (within a limited area, probably best for home-schooled due to available times)

The Rock & Blues Guitar Riff-O-Rama Musicianship & Artistry + Online Workshop Starts Tuesday, January 4th! This time around we’re building on our already sizable repertoire with additional songs by Bluesbreakers featuring Eric Clapton, The Black Crowes, Ram Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Oasis, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and many more. We’ll study the tunes and learn the guitar techniques, licks and tricks that make the showcase the players and the songs. This is designed to be a supplement to your regular lesson, please ask for more information if interested. Its a great way to level up! It’s an online session that runs 630p – 750p every Tuesday evening through May 24th!

Please Note Covid 19/Cold & Flu Season Notice:

In-person lessons are available on a limited basis. A mask, tissues, and hand sanitizer are available for the asking. Please don’t hesitate to ask as needed.

For those students with an In-Person Lesson Time Option, online lessons via Zoom are an option if you prefer, and for times when deemed necessary due to CDC guidelines. This Covid-19 seems to affect everyone differently. It think we’re all aware of the general guidelines. If you have signs or symptoms of Covid-19 infection (Fever over 100.4, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pains, headache, diarrhea, recent loss of taste or smell, etc…) Guidelines also refer to traveling to Covid-19 hotspots and having close contact with someone that has lab-tested positive for covid and been been advised to quarantine by a health care professional. If any of the above apply it’s best to do a Zoom lesson. Your consideration is much appreciated and will be reciprocated.

For those students with an In-Person Lesson Time Option, If you’re feeling well we can meet in-person. If you’re feeling sick, have Covid 19 symptoms, are quarantining or are awaiting the results of a Covid 19 test, it would be best to meet online.

As guidelines change rather frequently, and I have seasonal allergies, I’ll be probably be masked up. And will try to keep up with current guidelines.

Thanks for your patience and understanding! 🙂

Website Update Soon!: I’m looking to update my website, basically an online business card, for the most part. What would like me to add, or what would you like to see? Please let me know however works best for you! Thanks much!

I Wrote a Song for My Mom

A few years ago I wrote a song for my mom. It’s a composite of some stories she would tell us about her childhood. She grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma with a trolley and train routes running next to their corner-lot house, parallel to a major thoroughfare, Charles Page Blvd. Not too far from the Arkansas River. Lots of hills and open spaces. As we’re having her Celebration of Life Service today I thought I’d share it. I love you and miss you, Mom. Very grateful for the time together.

Myra’s Song (Charles Page Blvd.)

Word and Music (p)(c) 2013 Robert White, Guitar and Vocal

Recorded and Mixed by Mark Mazur, Signature Recordings, Wichita, Kansas

Blue clear sky, Nineteen Thirty-Nine

Little girl playing in the yard

Train rolls by she counts the cars

Parents smile looking

Red setting sun, day is done

Dad calls in, runs through the door

Homework’s done and now the chores

Mother kitchen cooking

Sometimes life is funny, sometimes life is hard

Living for love and dreams on Charles Page Boulevard

Blue clear eyes, Nineteen Forty-Nine

Backyard church group plays badminton

Girls all giggles, boys are smitten

Parent smile, laughing

Awake and alive, bones break; hill-slide

Hospital room where the nurses scurry

Doctors tend to the wounds and worries

Congregation praying

Sometimes life is funny, sometimes life leaves scars

Living for love and dreams on Charles Page Boulevard

Possibilities like a river flow

Possibilities where hearts and minds will grow

Possibilities can help to ease the strain

Or put you on the next train…

Do you remember the blue clear skies?

Sometimes life is funny, sometimes life leaves scars

Living for love and dreams on Charles Page Boulevard
